Who or what is in your sample. When considering sample composition you need to think about whether it is a representative sample of the population you are interested in. In addition, you need to consider whether the members of your sample are independent: for example, if you do a snowball sample, people who know other people may share political views, support the same sports team or have similar musical taste.
